The first annual Steelman Racing Duathlon will be held on Sunday, April 26th, 2020, at the Tohickon Boat Launch at Lake Nockamixon State Park.  This duathlon is the perfect early season event to help get ready for the summer race season.  This fun and challenging race allows athletes to test their training in a safe, supported race environment at beautiful Lake Nockamixon.  Athlete safety is our first priority, therefore Route 563 is closed to all vehicle traffic during the race.  Racers will start their event with a time trail start running through the Tohickon Boat Launch parking lot out onto Route 563.  Runners will head south toward the marina on this quick, 3 mile out and back course consisting of rolling hills and fast flats.  Once back at transition, athletes will grab their bikes and hammer down on the fast Steelman Racing Duathlon 13 mile bike course! Athletes will head north on Route 563 to the first turn around, and then head south past the Tohickon Boat Launch entrance to the second turn-around close to Route 313.  Once athletes complete the second turn around, it’s time to turn and burn as they make their way back to the Tohickon Boat Launch.  Athletes will then complete their second run and finish strong by racing down the finish shot next to the lake to complete their race.  After the race, athletes will enjoy awesome food, music and race swag in our post-race party to finish off their day of racing. Don’t miss your chance to start your season off right at the Steelman Duathlon this year!
