Are you ready for an awesome and fun trail run? The Steelman Racing Endurance Festival 5K, 10K, and 20K trail runs have it all! Runners will start their race from above the large pond and make their way past the lodge spectating area to the base of the mountain. GAME ON when the runners hit the dirt as they will follow a course of trails, stone access roads, and ski trails up the northeast side of the mountain. As runners make their way to the summit, be prepared for cheering, and maybe some jeering, from spectators as they enjoy supporting runners during the race. Once runners reach the summit, they will enjoy the breath-taking views and ring the Endurance Fest Bell to share their accomplishment before they start their descent down the other side of the mountain. As runners weave down the ski trails on the southeast side of the mountain, the finish line will come into sight. After a quick loop around the back side of the resort, runners will either head to the finish of the 5K course, or start on their second lap of the 10K course. Gorgeous views, challenging climbs, and scenic descents will be enjoyed by all runners at the Steelman Racing Endurance Festival Trail Run!
New for 2022, The Steelman Racing Endurance Festival now offers a 8 mile and 20 mile GRAVEL BIKE RACE! Grinders will start their race at the base of the mountain and make their way past the lodge to the left side of the course. Riders will cut through the parking lot and enter the woods to start their first challenge, THE HILL OF DIS-BEAR! Grinders will then follow the course of dirt trails and stone access roads up the left side of the mountain. As riders make their way to the summit, be prepared for cheering, and maybe some jeering, from spectators as they support riders during the race. Once riders reach the summit, they will enjoy the breath-taking views and ring the Endurance Fest Bell to share their accomplishment before they start their descent down the other side of the mountain on grass trails and stone roads. Riders weave down the ski trails on the right side of the mountain, and then after a quick climb, grinders will make their way toward the bypass to complete their additional loops or the finish. Spectacular views, fast climbs, and breathtaking descents will be enjoyed by all gravel grinders at the Steelman Racing Endurance Festival Gravel Race!
New for 2022, The Steelman Racing Endurance Festival now has a KIDS DUATHLON! Kids ages 6-18 are going to have a BLAST on our kid-friendly off-road duathlon course. Kids will start their event by running a 0.75 mile trail run clockwise around the run course on stone roads, dirt trails, and grass covered ski slopes. After completing the first leg of the duathlon, kids will hop on their bikes and blaze through the two loops of the 2.50 mile bike course. The bike course consists of stone roads, paved trails, and areas of the parking lot. Kids will return to the transition area after completing two loops of the bike course to take on the final run leg of the race. This is the same run course kids did at the beginning of their event, but the last leg is run in the opposite direction (counter-clockwise). The kids will finish their race by running back to the start / finish line to ring the Endurance Festival Bell and receive their Endurance Fest medal and T-shirt for participating in the race. Parents are permitted to participate in the race with their kid(s), but must be registered for the event and must stay with their kid(s) during the entire race. Kids ages 6-8 must have an adult complete the race with them. Age group awards will be given out to 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 12-14, 15 and older. The max age for a youth athlete is 18.
